About Dr. Wei
Tianqi “Jimmy” Wei, DMD, treats the mouth as part of the person in the chair. He looks at oral health together with overall health, medical history, medications, healing, and the rest of a patient’s life.
At the same time, Dr. Wei believes care should always begin with what matters most to the patient. If you come in because of one painful or broken tooth, it is completely reasonable to start there. If you are looking for a more comprehensive plan, he can step back and look at the bigger picture.
Comprehensive care does not necessarily mean more treatment
— it means understanding enough to know what needs attention now, what can safely wait, what should be monitored, and what may not need treatment at all.
When different options are available, Dr. Wei takes the time to explain the advantages, limitations, and long-term considerations so that treatment can be chosen thoughtfully rather than simply following a one-size-fits-all approach.
A Little More About Dr. Wei
Dr. Wei is caring, detail-oriented, and very tech-savvy. He pays attention to the small things, in dentistry and outside it, and that same personality shaped the way he wanted to build Sunstone Dental.
He wanted an office that is good for the patient and also a good place for the people working alongside him. That means being thoughtful about the technology, the materials, the schedule, the treatment options, and even the small details of the visit.
Clinically, his goal is to preserve natural teeth when that makes sense, to offer a wide range of care, and to recognize when someone would be better off seeing a specialist.
You should never feel uncomfortable asking your dentist why.
Outside the office
Away from the office, Jimmy is close with his family and friends. He likes cooking for them, and he often plays pickleball after work. He also enjoys researching, tinkering with technology, and figuring out how to make something a little better.
